Dr. Townsend is unwavering in his dedication to educating and empowering people to live abundant and successful lives. Dr. Townsend married the love of his life, Cleo on September 23, 1989. He and Cleo count among their blessings three wonderful children: two daughters, Alainna and Tiffany, and one son, Todd Jr.

His academic accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science degree in "Biblical Studies/Leadership" from The Philadelphia College of Bible, a Master of Arts degree in "Christian Thought/Theology" from the Biblical Theological Seminary, a second Master of Science degree in "Biblical Studies" from The Philadelphia Biblical University, and a third Master of Arts degree in "Urban Mission/Ministry" at the Westminster Theological Seminary. In June of 2011 he graduated with a Doctorate of Philosophy from Philadelphia's Drexel University, in "Couple and Family Therapy." He is currently enrolled in Delaware's Wilmington University where he's a "Doctoral Candidate" completing his second doctoral degree in "Educational Leadership."

Dr. Townsend serves as Presiding Bishop over the Resurrection Kingdom Fellowship of Churches, headquartered in Wilmington DE, as well as the Senior Pastor of the Resurrection Center (11 years), now in two locations, Wilmington, DE and Middletown, DE. In this area of service to God, Dr. Townsend's Episcopal appointment, visionary leadership and enthusiastic care for individuals have facilitated saving souls and empowering people.

Dr. Townsend carries over two decades of ministry experience, as a preacher, teacher, lecturer, conference speaker as well as a cross-cultural and cross-denominational ministry consultant. His ministry focus includes leadership, administrative oversight, discipleship, family and individual counseling, teaching, and conference speaking. Dr. Townsend's life journey, educational pursuits, theological development, academic prowess and front line ministry experiences, all combine to make him a passionate servant of the Lord.

He is a dedicated Christian committed to "growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." In serving God's people, Dr. Townsend's ministry motivation, philosophy and life verse, can be found in the following scripture passage…
